Meet the Teachers
My Life...My Journey
I believe that God had a plan for me and that plan was Mead Hall! I have embraced the love and support that I have received while on staff at Mead Hall, and look forward to teaching the 4th grade students for another exciting and engaging year!
Originally a native of New Brunswick, Canada (the snow belt!!), I relocated to the south 5 years ago with my husband Dan due to his career in engineering management. I have a diversified background in kinesiology, education and business with over 20 years in business management and 13 years in education - 8 of which have been teaching.
Dan and I have been fortunate to explore new sunsets in various regions around the globe with our 3 amazing sons, Jordan, Matthew and Alexander, all 3 in a discipline of engineering. I have been actively involved in coaching sports and volunteering at the Aiken Equine Rescue and Saratoga War Horse Program.
The pathways that we tend to follow in our lives always seem to be the ones that draw on our passions and interests.
The one thing throughout my life journey that has been consistent was my desire to work with children. I have found great joy in guiding young minds to try and do their best to achieve their dreams or goals.
I look forward to a year full of new adventures in learning in 4th grade!
The laughter of a child is like music; we can dance beside them and embrace their energy and enthusiasm for life.
Mrs. Nina Briggs
I am so excited to be starting my third year at Mead Hall. I have so many engaging activities planned for the year, and I can not wait to get started. I have had seven years in the classroom and love Math and Science and hope my enthusiasm for the subjects spills over to your children. Thank you for all of your support and look forward to an amazing academic year.
I am married to a wonderful man, Mark Mooney, and we have two amazing children. Kellsey is a nurse at Aiken Regional Hospital, and Zach is first year cadet recruit at the Citadel in Charleston, SC. I teach Sunday School at First Baptist Church in North Augusta and participate in many children's ministries our church supports.
We're going to have a spectacular year!
